Principals
Chuck Barrett and Warren McCann are the Managing Directors of Epireon Capital Advisors Limited.
Chuck Barrett oversees the administration and lending operations of Epireon Capital Limited and Epireon Capital Advisors Limited. He brings 25 years of mortgage brokering and lending experience as a licensed mortgage broker, since 1981; having underwritten, brokered and/or funded over $450 million of commercial and investment grade residential mortgages.
From 1992 to 1998 Chuck was President of Estate Mortgage & Investments Limited and Moss, Lawson Mortgage Banking & Investment Corporation, and Moss, Lawson Mortgage Management Corporation, all wholly owned subsidiaries of Moss, Lawson & Co. Limited.
Estate Mortgage was the mortgage broker of record for a mortgage Trust offered through public prospectus. Estate underwrote, packaged and presented all loans to the lending committee for approval.
Moss, Lawson Mortgage Banking & Investment Corporation provided management services for the day to day operation of the Trust including all legal, collection, investor reporting and administration of the portfolio.
Following the sale of Moss, Lawson & Co. Limited to HSBC Securities in 1998, Chuck incorporated and is a partner in the mortgage brokerage firm, D.C. Capital Corporation.
Warren is a founding partner of Kudlow & McCann PC Chartered Accountants. His practice involves both personal and corporate taxation and his experience includes tax planning and advice to owner managed businesses, estate planning, cross-border taxation and structuring corporate financial transactions. Warren is also Managing Director of Epireon Capital Advisors Limited, a Toronto-based firm specializing in mid-market private commercial lending.
Warren received his Chartered Accounting designation in 1986 and obtained his MBA from The University of Windsor. He has completed the CICA in-depth tax course and is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation. In the community, Warren has served as Treasurer of The Rosedale-Moore Park Association and The Factory Theatre.
Brenda manages all aspects of Epireon’s mortgage portfolio including security documentation, trust accounting and remittances to investor participants.
Prior to joining Epireon in 2001, Brenda worked as a real estate law clerk for a major Toronto legal firm.
